Who is Livia?

Born in1903, Livia Youngdahl was a lively woman. She managed to raise her younger siblings as well as attend college in Minnesota. She was an avid follower of politics, a weaver, an organist, a cook, and a piano teacher. She married a young professor, and the couple had 3 children and lived in Missouri for 50 years.

But, Livia was especially good at entertaining. Renowned as an excellent cook, Livias secret ingredient was a special blend of three essential spices: Kosher salt, coarse-ground black pepper, and just enough garlic to give food a kick without overwhelming its original flavor.

Livias generations-old secret recipe was shared with the world in 1997, and weve been keeping her memory and recipe alive since her passing.
