Malus domestica Bramleys Seedling Bramley Cooking Apple

One of the most famous and widely grown cooking apples, Bramleys Seedling originated in the early 1800s in Nottinghamshire. This large, vigorous tree produces huge crops of very large green apples with red stripes, and is prized for its juicy, cream-coloured flesh and sharp, rich flavourperfect for cooking, juicing, or cider-making.

  • Size & Colour: Very large apples, green with light red striping

  • Flesh: Creamy, juicy, and sharp

  • Flavour: Excellent high-acid flavour ideal for cooking (fluffy when cooked)

  • Storage: Keeps well from November to March

  • Cropping: Heavy cropper, but prone to biennial bearing if not thinned
